Thank You Flint Eastside COTN – People in Crisis Helping People in Crisis!

With World Water Day this Wednesday – we wanted to thank the Flint Eastside COTN for raising $235.02 during their fundraiser toward our well repair project south of Ewuaso (Kedong) Kenya! Again, much the money was raised 10 cents at a time via pop/soda bottle returns. Proof that lots of people doing a little bit each can accomplish great things! We are impressed by the people in Flint reaching out to help people from the Maasai tribe in Kenya! We still need to raise about $7,000 toward this water project that can help hundreds of people. Ladies in the area of this well walk about 8.5 miles one way (yes, 17 miles round trip) to get water several times a week. We call this Mama Hassan’s well, because of one of the 70 year old ladies whose village is immediately adjacent to this well. Please consider donating so we can repair this well and the ladies in this area can utilize their time to improve their economic status through bracelet and other craft making activities.
